We are happy to announce that Paul Currion has accepted to deliver an invited talk at ISCRAM 2005.
Paul Currion is a consultant working in the field of information management and humanitarian coordination. In particular he has been involved in Humanitarian Information Centres (HICs, www.humanitarianinfo.org), working in development and management of HICs in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq and Liberia. Most recently, Mr Currion developed the HIC Handbook and HIC Training Package for the United Nations.
Mr Currion draws on a wide range of experience, including humanitarian relief, human rights, conflict resolution, training development and NGO coordination. He has worked for UN offices (including OCHA and UNOPS), a wide range of international NGOs, NGO co-ordination bodies (including the International Council for Voluntary Agencies and the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief), and government donors such as the UK Department for International Development.
Mr Currion is a Member of the Humanitarian Practice Network (www.odihpn.org), a Member of the Advisory Panel of the Aid Workers Network (www.aidworkers.net) and an Observer Member of ALNAP (www.alnap.org).
