Call for the Practitioner Talks
Following the ISCRAM tradition and the conference vision, emergency/crisis management practitioners are invited to present their work in the Practitioner Track at the ISCRAM 2025 conference in Halifax, Canada. Practitioners are encouraged to submit a brief abstract describing their proposed talk by the following deadline:
- Submission deadline: February 16, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: March 3, 2025
Unlike other tracks, which require the presentation of either a completed work (CoRe) or a work-in-progress (WiP), the Practitioner Track offer professionals in emergency and crisis management field a platform to showcase their work and share completed case studies with the wider community. We encourage practitioners to present their experiences, realities, insights, challenges and solutions at ISCRAM through talks, without the need for paper submissions, but rather a short abstract to describe what you wish to present. This initiative aims to facilitate the sharing of pertinent ISCRAM topics and foster stronger collaboration between multi-disciplinary academics and practitioners to forward to the collective knowledge and best practices in the field. However, if your work warrants having a paper in the Proceedings, we encourage you to submit a CoRe paper (Completed Research) or a WiP paper (Work-in-Progress).
The poster and demonstration-sessions will be co-chaired by Lee A.S. Britton & Jack Gallagher. Please see the Call for Practitioners for additional information.
